When thinking about people we work with, we oftentimes refer to them as resources, personnel or staff. Each of these terms does not get to the crux of what these people bring to the table
Capital is a word used to denote value. Coupled with the word “human”, we now understand the value is found in people.
We should look at our personnel, or staff, as “knowledge workers”. By reframing what this means, it gives a better appreciation of the potential of what we are working with.
